From the outset, content, animations, and PR & marketing materials had to be created before the car itself was even built. In the early stages, content was needed to attract major sponsors like Huawei, Covestro, and Porsche. In later stages, marketing and PR material for events and TV interviews was critical — all while the car was in constant development.




By providing a dedicated team with automotive experience and working closely with the Sonnenwagen RWTH Aachen University team, RenderThat delivered images, car design suggestions, and animations in a short space of time. This was all supported by centralised data asset management with approval workflows and task assignments.
Despite participating for the first time, the Huawei Sonnenwagen was one of the top teams, producing outstanding content — from simple prototyping images to complex technical animations with power flows and driving scenes. TV stations, magazines, and sponsors' websites all featured this content.
