Case Study: New Product Launch Video for Watercool GmbH

Objective

Watercool GmbH commissioned us to create an impressive product animation for their external PC cooler "MO-RA IV." This high-end cooling system is particularly popular with gamers because it is installed outside the PC, offering exceptionally strong cooling performance. The challenge was to perfectly visualize the different product variants – with two, four, or nine cooling components – in various colors, black and white. Our goal was to make the complex technology tangible and understandable in an engaging animation.

Challenge

The challenge of this project was the tight deadline, as the launch of the new series was scheduled to take place before the summer holidays. This meant that the time for the elaborate rendering processes was extremely limited. An additional difficulty was the detailed 3D modeling of the delicate cooling fins of the system, which had to be depicted lifelike in the animation. These details required precision and time, which added extra complexity given the tight schedule.

Solution

Thanks to our flexible render farm, which operates on 100% green electricity, we were able to optimally scale rendering performance and efficiently reduce rendering time. This allowed us to deliver the animations on schedule despite the tight deadlines. Close cooperation with Watercool GmbH ensured that the storyboard could be perfectly implemented. The good coordination and clear communication between both teams was a key factor for the smooth execution of the project.

Result

The project was successfully completed within the given deadline, and the final result exceeded the client's expectations. The animations were compiled into a thrilling yet informative video that vividly illustrates the complex functions of the MO-RA IV series.
