10-in-1: Product Film and Clips for HELLA Lighting and Electronics Products
Case Study: 3D animation film for HELLA vehicle parts - 10 products for forklifts and autonomous robots in one.
Objective
The objective of the project with Hella was to animate ten products, including lights, lighting systems, various sensors, and electronics for a forklift, into an appealing film. From this, short, separate clips of the individual products were to be created to highlight their function and design. This visual representation was intended to showcase the products in their optimal environment and clearly demonstrate their benefits and applications to potential customers.
Challenge
The biggest challenge of this project was integrating a large number of products into a single animation. For both Hella and our team, this meant that each product had to be individually and meticulously animated without overwhelming the overall result. The complexity and variety of the products demanded precise planning and sophisticated animation strategies to ensure a cohesive and engaging presentation.
Solution
Our agency developed a detailed storyboard based on Hella's briefing. For implementation, we purchased stock 3D models for the warehouse and outdoor environments, as well as 3D models of people, to make the animations lively and realistic. By using these models, we were able to authentically represent the environment and showcase the products in their best light.
The heart, or rather, the hearts of the film are the individual products, each created as digital twins by our 3D designers, allowing them to be flexibly integrated into the individual scenes and settings.
Our dedicated team ensured that each animation was seamlessly integrated into the overall presentation to achieve an impressive final result.
A forklift, which can be operated particularly safely and efficiently in logistics environments thanks to integrated Hella lighting and sensor products, and an autonomous transport robot, which navigates safely through a city environment with the help of lights and sensors, serve as carriers for the 10 products.
Result
The result was an impressive summary film that showcased Hella's ten products in a realistic and appealing environment. The separate short clips of the individual products complemented the main film and allowed Hella to market the products specifically across all marketing channels such as social media and their website.
